Every person has a different perspective, the way we look at things, at nature, at objects and just about everything else. Swathi R, an IT professional who is passionate about Photography decided to experiment with B & W, sharing with us a few from her treasure chest.

The Sun, looking down at the world, watching life as it goes by….. Showcased on a wall…

A few clay pots, freshly baked, will they be used to store water or maybe cook a delicious dish in?! Their fate is unknown…

The Railway Station, a place that welcomes people by the dozen, every minute of every day….

A few drops of water trickling down the roof is a sight for sore eyes. And that i s exactly what one looks forward to come June. Monsoon sets in, or there are indications that monsoon is not far off… Aarthi S shares a few photographs she had shot during the last monsoon when she managed to go on a mini holiday with her best friends…

A wind has blown the rain away and blown the sky away and all the leaves away, and the trees stand. I think, I too, have known autumn too long.

Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.
Rabindranath Tagore

I love the rain. I want the feeling of it on my face.
Katherine Mansfield

June is the season for schools to reopen, it is also when monsoon begins in most parts of the country. After the long days of summer, the cool showers are such a welcome treat. Inspite of traffic jams, and chaos on the streets, people rejoice the monsoon. It is also when nature shows off the lovely colours and vibrant hues. Niranjan Chandrashekar shares a few photographs of what nature means to him…

“Nature” – What comes to the mind when you hear the word “Nature”. I am sure somewhere in the mind, you will have the color “Green”. Nature is full of colours. We have become so busy in the Concrete jungle surrounded by so many artificial things that we even fail to notice the Small parks in our colony which offer you a temporary dose of relief. This is one such park which is near my home in Delhi.

Enjoy the Monsoons!! Rejoice the colours…

You are one of those high flying executives who is always on the move. Bags are packed, tickets are booked and it seems you spend a lot of time in the air than with your family. This is when you miss your wife and newborn son a lot, and wish you could be with them, see them instead of sitting through long meetings and conferences. How about you carry them with you on your next trip? Yes, it is possible. Snapfish has brought out these cute mini photo books that are small, easy to create and fit snuggly into your laptop bag.

Pick out a few favorite photographs that you have, create this photobook and you will have your loved ones with you all the time. All it takes is a few minutes on the snapfish website and you are done. Sit back, wait for the beautiful book to arrive and you will not miss your family as much.. While you are at it, you create one  of you with the family, something for them to cherish and flip through when you are away on those long business trips… Agreed, it is no substitute to being physically around them, but this photo book does make a world of difference. :)

Happy travels!

Five months of the year have gone by and it is June already…. Children look forward to heading back to school and families long to settle into the familiar routine. The sun shines, but not so harsh, and there  is a new light in everybody’s life. Here is what Nirvita who is passionate about photography shares on Light.

“This is an ordinary pic, whats so great about it?” this might be your 1st question after seeing this picture. But, look again, is it just an ordinary old building with its windows decorated with light? No, it isnt. Yes indeed its an ordinary old building at the port of Barcelona, Spain but it’s windows are not decorated with lights. Its the Sun which is decorating the windows. The light decoration is a natural decoration provided beautifully by the Sun at sunset. If you see from the top, on the 3rd window you can find the reflection of the sun. Its just so Amazing and Wonderful the way nature makes simple things Beautiful.”
After a very chilly snow covered winter even few rays of Spring Sun feels Heaven. When everyone was still struggling with the snow covered Easter in Germany this pretty lady was all enjoying the warmth of the spring sun in Spain.
