In different light

Five months of the year have gone by and it is June already…. Children look forward to heading back to school and families long to settle into the familiar routine. The sun shines, but not so harsh, and there  is a new light in everybody’s life. Here is what Nirvita who is passionate about photography shares on Light.

“This is an ordinary pic, whats so great about it?” this might be your 1st question after seeing this picture. But, look again, is it just an ordinary old building with its windows decorated with light? No, it isnt. Yes indeed its an ordinary old building at the port of Barcelona, Spain but it’s windows are not decorated with lights. Its the Sun which is decorating the windows. The light decoration is a natural decoration provided beautifully by the Sun at sunset. If you see from the top, on the 3rd window you can find the reflection of the sun. Its just so Amazing and Wonderful the way nature makes simple things Beautiful.”
After a very chilly snow covered winter even few rays of Spring Sun feels Heaven. When everyone was still struggling with the snow covered Easter in Germany this pretty lady was all enjoying the warmth of the spring sun in Spain.

Photobooks in seconds

May 13th, 2012

Time to bring out the camera and capture moments of fun and joy. It is the holiday season, and wedding season, which means time for families and friends to get together. This in turn leads to so many special moments that will remain with us in our hearts, but to preserve them better and look back on them, how about creating a photobook or two?

Snapfish has been coming up with new and innovative ways of creating photo books and the latest from their treasure chest just made creating these photo books that much easier.

A click , a drag and a choose- ta da, your photo book is ready! You dont think that is possible, well, try it and you will know you are wrong! Yes, snapfish has now brought in the option of uploading images from your computer, camera, hard drive and giving you the ease of dragging and dropping the ones you wish to put in your photobook.

Gone are the days when you had to have the photographs ready, a theme chosen before you could order. Today, it all happens along the process, giving you the freedom to play around with the photo book, change your mind a million times on the photographs you wish to include, or the theme you choose and create the photobook that makes you go Sigh… :)

A journey through history and culture

May 7th, 2012

Bags are packed, tickets have been booked and a sense of excitement lingers in the air. This is exactly what parents go through when exams end and school lets out. With the changes in school systems, these days schools work till end April, and holidays run all of May spilling into June.

Prakash was all set to explore the Eastern part of the world with his wife and 4yr old daughter along with few other friends. They were headed to Cambodia, a land of history, where temples and Buddha ruled the streets, and a destination much sought after.

It was their daughter’s first trip abroad, and more than them she was jumping with joy. The thought of flying in an aeroplane, going to a different country was entirely new. We hoped she managed without too much fuss or trouble, especially since food was an issue, he said. But, know what, she was a charm, such an angel, played with other kids at the venues we visited, was such a happy child through the journey, not a minute of pain or trouble… *touch wood*

Even though it was a short trip, we had a blast. This was a country i had not been to earlier, and so it was magical, and quite surprising to see the amount of resemblance their culture, art and temples had to ours.To make sure it wasnt entirely about temples, we visited the beach, the ocean, that had once faced the wrath of the tsunami but today welcomes guests with open arms.

As we left the town towards the airport, our hearts were heavy, and we felt a strong connection had been forged with this foreign yet familiar country. We hoped that one day we would return to explore it further.
