Just as February is synonymous with Spring, in many places across the world March symbolises Summer. There are places which are alive with colours, while some others are gearing up to blossom.  And in countries like India, Summer means only one thing- no, not blossoming flowers or colours, it means Heat and blazing sun. But it is also the season where families look forward to escaping the heat to hill stations or cooler regions.

Gautham, who decided to  not wait for peak summers and take a break, went off to explore the mountains in Dharamsala and McLeodganj. He shares a few photographs showing off the beauty in those destinations, which are up above, as if a part of the blue skies..

February is synonymous with Spring.. its said to be the month of Romance as well, thanks to Valentine’s Day falling on the 14th. There is something in the air, magical, a mystery…je ne sais quoi, [literally translated to ‘I don't know what’] …. Mandira shares with us this lovely photograph taken during a routine walk around the neighborhood park saying it gave her such a feeling. She felt happy seeing it, even though it dint add to any special moment.. Probably just the month or the air…. Such simple pleasures of life make so much of a difference….

Along the journey called life, we are so caught up in moving along, making sure we make the most of the time we have on this planet that we forget everything else. My first encounter with my favourite subject was at a government school in Chennai on Independence Day. It was my first such experience and i thoroughly enjoyed observing their actions & reactions, but capturing those precious moments on a photograph was quite the challenge. I had to unleash the child within to enjoy the experience.
